FAQS

Below are a selection of the most frequently asked questions, however, should you have any additional questions that you'd like to be answered, contact us hello@two30designs.com

How long does a logo design take?

The turnaround time for a logo from sales to completion is typically 2-3 weeks, subject to my workload which will be discussed before any payments are made. Timescales are also dependent on response time, and any additional changes to designs.

How many logos do I get?

Following the design phase, you will be presented with 3 logo options based upon agreed objectives. Once final payment has been made, you will own the copyright to the final agreed design or designs depending on the package purchased.

What if I want to make a change to a logo?

That's no problem at all. When the first set of designs are presented to you we will explain why design decisions have been made. At this point you will have the opportunity to provide feedback and request modifications if required. You can request as many changes as you want, however once the stated number of revision rounds that are included within the typical project scope have been met, in the unlikely event that additional revisions are required, they will be charged at a cost of £30 per revision round, and will be added onto the final invoice.

Who owns the rights to the designs?

Final payment ensures that only the agreed design/s become your property. Any previous ideas and concepts remain the property of TWO-30 Designs, unless any prior agreement has been made.

How does Copyright & Trademark Registration work?

On completion of a design project, and once payment has been made, the copyright for the final agreed logo is automatically transferred to you.

Copyright protection means that the copyright holder of the work retains exclusive rights to print, display and distribute the design. This is what's transferred to you, and means you can do anything you want with the logo. We only ask that it can be included in the TWO-30 Designs portfolio as an example of work carried out.

Trademark registration on the other hand is something that will need to be carried out by a trademark lawyer, or you can do it yourself through the government website. Trademarking the logo will allow you to add the ® symbol and it also provides legal protection to anything confusingly similar within the locations and categories you register the logo in.

If this is something you plan to do, let me know so we can provide a variant with the ® in the final set of files to use once the registration has gone through.

How soon can you start?

We rarely have availability to start projects immediately but we will always try our best to do this where possible. However, we usually look to book start dates for at least 2 to 4 weeks ahead, so please take this into consideration when planning your brand launch.

How long does it take?

Generally projects take between 2-6 weeks depending on scope. In your proposal document we'll outline what to expect at each stage of the project. To ensure the project runs smoothly, you'll be asked to provide any feedback in 1-3 working days.  If the project falls behind due to delays this can start to impact on the timeline and any agreed completion dates may have to be rescheduled.

What is a ‘No Communication Policy’?

We have a policy that after 30 days of no communication from you we will terminate the project and it will be considered cancelled. All deposits will be retained for work done up to that point.

How does payment work?

We ask for a 50% deposit to secure bookings. Your final balance is due on completion of the project and before any final files are provided.

Can you help with print?

Yes! We can help source and handle printing for certain items. We work with several trusted printers that can deliver across the UK, offering a range of print options, from basic flyers to more bespoke finishes such as foiling and spot UV.

Once my branding is done can we keep working together?

We’d love to! When we work together we become a family with the same goals and aspirations for each other. Therefore, we maintain an ongoing relationship with the majority of our clients, providing design support as their businesses continue to grow.

I already have my branding, can we still work together?

As a general rule of thumb, we tend to work with brands we've developed the identity for, but we do make exceptions provided you own the rights the the design. If we think your existing brand aligns with our style, we'd be happy to help out with additional design assets.

However, if we feel you’re not hitting your desired target audience and we can spot the gap we will also talk to you about this as we would be doing you a disservice to let you carry on with a visual identity that didn’t promote you in your best possible light.

Drop us an email hello@two30designs.com with some examples of your current branding and we'll go from there.
